I work as a researcher at the Versification Research Group, Institute of Czech Literature (Czech Academy of Sciences), doing computational literary studies and stylometry. My research interests include large-scale cultural changes in creative domains, with a primary focus on literature and European verse. I hold a PhD in Russian literature, but please do not ask me about Tolstoy: I have studied how folksongs were rendered in literature by elites who shared Romantic national sentiment in a strange imperial setting. Now I try to understand literary evolution and other things most beautiful.
